Mola- Digital re-colorization

Michael C. Carlos Museum- 2003.40.300. Mola with light fading and creasing. Creases were addressed by placing object between layers of damp blotter paper moistened with deionized water with Hollytex interleaving and applying weights. Light fading was addressed with a digital reconstruction. This was done by masking out faded areas in Adobe Photoshop and adjusting the color based on Munsell color matching of unfaded areas.
